I’ve never tried to make a call from a Yahoo contact because I don’t use Yahoo to manage my contacts. However, I know that my iPhone will recognize some phone numbers in websites (i.e. when I looked up a local pizza delivery) and phone numbers sent in text messages. The numbers appear in underlined blue text. All you have to do is tap the number and it makes the call.
The iPhone has an excellent phone book, but you can only sync it with the Address Book on your Mac, or, if you’re a PC user, Microsoft Outlook. Currently, there is no way to sync contacts into an iPhone from any other source.

Im not sure I think you can. I thought i saw that option. I know if someone on ebay or a website posts a number you can just tap it and it will automaticly call. The phone is amazing. I love it. And you can use many different ways of syncing your phone numbers. You can also go up to a Genius bar at Apple and they will set up the whole phone for you (For free) or call 1800myiphone
