They can get this illness however is the cat showing any other symptoms? The cat may have lost weight, been lathergic, weakness, fever or vomitting? if yes then i would take the cat to a vet for testing. If no, it could be a result of poor nutrition. Make sure the cat gets protein, even if you have to give her some chicken or tuna to add to her diet.

Cats can have Leukemia!!!!
If you are concerned GO TO THE VET!!! Leukemia is highly dangerous and very contagious for cats. GO TO THE VET!!!!!!
It is a quick simple blood test to prove if she/he has it.
Honestly, with out seeing the cat in person… I would not know why she/he looks sick. Hair coming off the cat is so normal. My boy sheds like he is going bald! Yet, more fur remains!!
In the summer, my guy always looks like he is getting ill. Hot weather and not enough shade for the Big Guy makes him logy. I take him to the vet every summer to check it out.
Please Go to the VET!!!!

i have never heard of a cat having leukemia. i would just drop dead if they did though that would make my heart break because i love cats especially my kitty =[ but my cats fur falls out all the time. its shedding haha. because its summer…unless its called where you are then i wouldnt know why your cat is shedding

You can guess all you want, but until you take the cat to the vet for a checkup you won’t know.
The blood test for FeLV (feline leukemia) takes 15 minutes to get an answer on. It’s a standard test they can do right there while the cat is being examined.

If not, it’s possible your cat has the disease, which affects 2 to 3 percent of cats in the United States. Hair loss can also be caused by allergies, pests, ringworm and more. The only way to be sure is to take your cat to the vet as soon as possible.

First, Kim – Feline Leukemia has been around for years, but the vaccine has made it much less common than it once was.
Second – No one can diagnose your cat over the Internet. Please take you cat to the Vet to find out what is wrong.

depends if it just a little it could be shedding for the summer or if it’s big chunks take her to the vets also why does she look sick

i understand how you feel here’s what you need to do bathe your cat us a cats shampoo it will hepl lessen the falling hair
