Leukemia is a disease. It can happen at any age. There are different kinds of leukemia. Each kind is slightly different. It’s cancer; it starts because of a mutation. Leukemia begins when one or more white blood cells experience DNA loss or damage. Those errors are copied and passed on to subsequent generations of cells. The abnormal leukemic cells remain in an immature blast form that never matures properly. They do not die off like normal cells, but tend to multiply and accumulate within the body. Some symptoms are:
    - Fatigue
    - Weakness
    - Bruising
    - Weight Loss
    - Fever
    - Enlarged spleen, lymph nodes and liver.
