I think you should begin by asking friends, family, and coworkers. Email all of your families and ask them to email five of their friends and family. Ask your friends to do the same. If you have a good relationship with certain businesses then ask your contacts there. A woman who gave me facials an cut my hair helped me raise money for cancer.
Try contacting your local paper and see if they’d like to run a story about your wife’s connection to the walk. If you are a member of a religious organization or a civil organization like Lions or Rotary see if they would support you. If you aren’t a member, then contact the local Lions and Rotary group and see if they would support you.
If you can and have the time, find out when your local Chamber of Commerce holds it’s networking meetings and if you have the time free, ask to speak at it.
Good luck. I hope you raise lots of money.
