HOW MUCH DO LEUKEMIA TESTS COST?

I was not long ago billed $3500 for the lab exam which my hemotologist sent out. Before she sent off the blood, she told me which we didn’t unequivocally uncover any signs of leukemia–she only longed for to order it out. She done no denote which this exam was abnormaly tall in cost. we figured it would price may be $50 – $100.
Is $3500 tall for the leukemia test?

    Seems high, maybe it is an error? Call the lab that sent the bill and ask them. If you have health insurance than they should have covered this anyway. Look at your policy to see what type of coverage you have. Insurance companies make mistakes ALL the time. Call them to see why the claim wasn’t paid. Sometimes they hit the wrong ‘code’ when entering it in the computer. If they are denying your claim as being ‘medically unnecessary’ . . than file an appeal. Have your doctor write a letter on your behalf (they do this all the time) explaining why this was necessary. Even if you are denied again, you can still keep appealing. You can even call your states insurance bureau. Just be persistent. If you have insurance you have paid for these services as a consumer . . good luck. The best way to handle your insurance claim is to keep a notebook . . write down every single phone call you make to them and what the result was . . keep all documents and letters in a notebook so it is always handy to refer to.
