HOW TO GET MY ROOMMATE’S BROTHER OUT OF LIVING IN HIS ROOM WHO IS NOT ON THE LEASE (ONLY I AND RM ARE)?

Details: my roommate’s hermit unexpected changed in to his room full time, during slightest for the month or more, does not share any franchise or utilities. My name as well as the roommate’s name is upon the lease. Roommate says his hermit is family as well as can stay in his room. we am endangered which we was not even consulted. What is the recommendation here? It is wrong to supplement brand new residents to an apartment, after how most days does the guest turn the resident? Surely a single month is as well long?

Better check the Landlord/Tenant Law in your State Statutes, but in my state, after 14 days, a guest is considered a legal resident and must be legally evicted in Court.
You may be able to call your local law enforcement agencies – they usually know the law pertaining to that.

one month? a guest? that is too long already. tell him to split the rent 3 ways, so everyone pays. or tell him to leave already
whats the reason he is living there? money troubles? job loss? if its trouble with work, tell him he can stay but must contribute. tell him to help clean up, and find work in the meantime

THE BEST WAY TO DO IT IS TO ASK. LEGALLY ONCE YOU ALLOW SOMEONE TO STAY WITH YOU AND THEY BRING CLOTHES AND STAY FOR A WHILE…IT’S UP TO THE COURTS TO EVICT THEM. IF YOU CALL THE POLICE THEY’LL TELL YOU TO TAKE HIM TO COURT,WHICH CAN LEAD TO YOU BEING EVICTED FOR ALLOWING SOMEONE IN WHO ISN’T ON THE LEASE. BUT HEY, IF YOUR ROOMIE ISN’T GOING TO PLAY FAIR… LOOK FOR ANOTHER ROOMIE AND EXPLAIN THE SITUATION TO YOUR MANAGER SO YOU WON’T BREAK THE LEASE AND MOVE OUT. ALSO IF IT GOES THIS FAR REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR MANAGER SIGN SOME NOTARIZED PAPERS. GOODLUCK
